Luxury Bathroom,Hitchin,Hertfordshire
Calm, inviting & beautifully practical
Room designed: Primary bathroom
Designed as a relaxing retreat, this spa-inspired bathroom blends warmth and elegance. A floating oak vanity keeps the space open, with soft ambient lighting enhancing the calm atmosphere. Bespoke joinery provides hidden storage while allowing for personal touches, making the room feel more like a beautifully designed living space.
A freestanding bath with a brushed bronze freestanding tap and hand shower adds a touch of luxury, complemented by a double vanity with matching brushed bronze taps. Light blush pink tiles in a 90-degree herringbone pattern bring soft texture, while the subtly patterned tiled floor introduces gentle movement, without overpowering the space.
Layered lighting includes an aged brass pendant, a wall light on the joinery, and ambient mirror backlighting for a warm, inviting glow. Embroidered blinds in natural and beige tones add texture, while a soft, neutral wall colour seamlessly disguises the angled ceiling.
With concealed pipework and underfloor heating, this bathroom feels effortlessly serene and clutter-free—not just a place to brush your teeth, but somewhere to unwind, recharge, and feel at ease.
Client review
“We’d been struggling to move forward with our new bathroom and kitchen, had thousands of images on Pinterest but nothing to show for it, then a friend recommended Alison. She listened carefully to our ideas and asked and helped us answer a lot of questions. Within a few weeks of our first meeting, she returned to give us her vision. It was a very thoughtful and comprehensive presentation using plans, mood boards, and samples of tiles and fabrics. The difference between what we had and what she proposed was incredible. Alison came with us to the bathroom store, and we walked away knowing exactly what we wanted. Her attention to detail was invaluable, she knew what we needed and helped us decide on what would work best. Without her we’d still be buying paint testers, instead we’ve got a wonderful bathroom. We’re very grateful and look forward to working with her on the kitchen very soon.”
